The Section for Residents and Fellows (SRF) is composed entirely of residents and fellows who are active members of the Academy as medical graduates in training in otolaryngology—head and neck surgery.

The SRF functions as an advisory body to the Academy Board of Directors and has been charged to: Communicate issues to residents and fellows; Make recommendations to the Academy Board of Directors; and Support the specialty of otolaryngology- head and neck surgery as a whole.

Are you ready to make a difference? If so, the SRF is seeking candidates to apply for positions on the SRF Governing Council and Appointed Officers. Voting will take place during the SRF General Assembly on Monday, September 22. Applications are due September 2, 2008.

The Assembly is the business meeting of the SRF. The agenda will feature presentations from AAO-HNS leadership, a keynote speaker, section elections, a presentation of the 2008 survey results, resolutions and presentation of awards.

Resident Grants and Awards

The Academy offers Resident Leadership Grants to residents and fellows to defray travel costs of attending the AAO-HNSF Annual Meeting & OTO EXPO and Surgical Advocacy Conference.

*Note: 2008 Annual Meeting Resident Leadership Grants are closed.
